Barnett Developments is a property development company based in Bristol. Their Portland Heights block of flats is on Dean street, near Portland Square in St Paul’s.
The large cream wall on Portland Heights regularly gets tagged and offered a tempting target during St Paul’s carnival. By Monday morning following the carnival festivities the wall was covered in obscene words.

For Portland Heights we suggested applying a protective coating to make the surface easier to clean. Because the wall had been tagged multiple times before, the cleaning results were becoming less effective. Removing paint from paint is difficult; to get the best results you have to remove both the graffiti and the base layer to properly eradicate all markings before repainting the wall. This is both time consuming and costly.
Coating the walls seals the surface, protecting the base layer of paint and creating a barrier so the graffiti is easier to clean and doesn’t involve removing any of the building’s exterior paint.
