OneFifty’s registered office has been in Bedminster, south Bristol for the last six years.
Bedminster’s Business Improvement District (BID) was created five years ago with the purpose of ensuring a prosperous future for Bedminster’s high street. Street art is an important, colourful and vibrant addition to the area and one of Bedminster BID’s key projects is their street art programme. The initiative aims to stimulate shopper interest through street art in the area – drawing people to Bedminster and encouraging them to stay longer and spend more on the high street.
Bedminster also hosts Upfest, one of Europe’s biggest street art festivals, attracting renowned street artists from around the world who create striking murals.
An unfortunate side effect of Bedminster’s thriving street art scene is that it also attracts a high degree of uncommissioned and unwanted graffiti to the area.
OneFifty was keen to work with Bedminster BID and use their expertise to give back to the local community. So they were thrilled when they won the competitive tender process to work with Bedminster BID to completely clean unwanted graffiti in the area, focussing on North Street, East Street and West Street.
The second stage of OneFifty's work will be to protect surfaces that are regularly targeted using our protective graffiti coating. This makes surfaces quick and easy to clean and helps deter graffiti attacks.
On top of removing unwanted graffiti to keep the focus on Bedminster’s stunning street art, OneFifty's Director Max will be advising the local community and shop associations on best practice and procurement for exterior cleaning services.
Max says of winning the work with Bedminster BID:
