The Jet Washing Company is changing its name. As of the 8th May 2018 we will become OneFifty and all marketing and communications, including our vehicle fleet, will display our new name.
Why OneFifty?
Because OneFifty is our magic number! 150°C is the temperature at which we clean using our high-pressure steam system and at this temperature we have the perfect mix of 90% steam and 10% water. As the steam is released from the spray nozzle it rapidly expands and it is the force of the expansion that produces the gentle but effective cleaning effect we require. This is what allows us to achieve such outstanding results for our customers.
Why change now?
The reason for the change is simple. After 5 years of successful trading as The Jet Washing Company, and developing the business to its current size, we felt that we had outgrown our old name. It’s not that our old name did not work, but it no longer reflected what we were truly about. We deliver brilliant external surface cleaning and yes, a lot of that is done by jet washing, but now we also do so much more, including renovation and restoration, high-level access work and media blasting. We polled some of our clients and there was a general agreement that our old name might suggest smaller business interests with a limited offer, when in fact the opposite was true. We were growing and increasingly working with larger organisations, and on much bigger projects, therefore we wanted a name that would appeal to this sector of the market, reduce confusion, and allow us to continue to develop and grow.
Looking ahead to a brilliant future
We believe that going forward the name ‘OneFifty’ will better support us in developing the business, helping us meet projected targets and move closer to fulfilling our business plan. The decision was not taken lightly, it has taken months of discussion and careful planning to get to this stage. Importantly our ethos and values will remain the same. We originally set up the company to provide a superior service, the highest possible standards of cleaning, and competitive rates - and we will stay true to these values and do all that we can to meet our clients exterior surface cleaning needs.
We are immensely proud of our achievements to date, and have plenty of great ideas for developing the business - we are really excited about the future. We look forward to continuing to work with our many loyal clients, and some new ones, in the coming years as OneFifty.
