Warehouse cleaning in Bicester
We recently carried out remediation cleaning work on two huge metal-clad warehouses on an industrial park in Bicester.
These modern units were between tenants. TRS, the company managing the remediation, called us in to clean the roofs, gutters, and clad façades, to make sure they looked clean and well maintained ready for their new tenant.
Good practice prevents problems
Good warehouse maintenance helps preserve the structural integrity of the building. Keeping the structures' surfaces clean, and the gutters clear and in good working order, also makes it easier to spot problems and deal with these promptly, preventing further deterioration.
Gutter cleaning should be a top priority
Clearing gutters is particularly important. A blocked gutter prevents water from flowing to the down pipe and into the drains. When the gutter overflows, water can pool and seep down into the ground next to the building, potentially damaging the foundations. In addition, the weight of the wet debris can weaken the guttering, potentially causing it to collapse.
A SYSTEMATIC APPROACH
Our team first worked on the gutters, removing quantities of built up debris. This turned out to be very timely as heavy autumn rains started while we were working, left any longer these heavy downpours could certainly have caused considerable damage. We also arranged for a drain specialist to run checks on the down pipes, using a purpose built camera to ensure these were absolutely clear to ensure things were left in excellent working order.
Next, we cleaned the roofs and the metal clad sides of the building, taking care to leave the roofs free of debris, and the cladding looking clean and smart. While working, we kept an eye out for any issues that might need to be reported to the agent, so that they would be able to follow up and address if required.
No job too big
This was a sizeable project, and our team worked tirelessly to complete the task to a high standard (as we always do). The cleaning of these massive warehouses is now complete, and they are ready for their next tenant to take possession and move in.
