Helping prepare Bristol's new Dental School for grand opening
Bristol University’s new purpose-designed Dental School was opened on Friday 8th September. The £36 million facilities provide the very latest clinical training for the education of dentists, hygenists, dental nurses and the wider dental team. Importantly, it allows the University to increase the number of available student places by around 25 percent.
Polishing the exterior to reflect the interior
The Dental School is located on the University’s Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus and spans 7,300 square metres. We were delighted to be invited to help prepare the building for its grand opening by cleaning the external areas.
Work included pressure washing the paved walkway running alongside the Dental School to remove built up algae, dirt and weeds.
We also gave the stairway that leads to the building's main entrance a thorough clean, this time using media blasting. In addition we removed the old painted line markings in the car park ready for new ones to be applied.
As well as cleaning, we painted the black iron railings that run alongside the pathway to improve their appearance, and applied anti-slip paint to the stairway to help prevent accidents.
Working hard to meet a tight deadline
The project manager at J4 (the company overseeing the refurbishment project) was really pleased with the the work that we did and the fact that we completed everything we were asked to do within a tight timeframe. We are looking forward to potentially doing more work with J4 as a result.
The video and images on this page show the transformation we achieved through our cleaning.
