We help businesses and facilities managers quickly and safely remove graffiti, leaving their exterior building surfaces good as new and deterring future graffiti attacks.
Graffiti can be unsightly, offensive and is often seen as a clear sign that a neighbourhood is starting to go downhill. The problem can start with just one tag or slogan scrawled on a building then, just as one broken window inevitably leads to more, copycat tags and slogans start to follow and their rapid proliferation makes it increasingly difficult and costly to get things cleaned up.
Aerosol spray paint is the most typical substance used by vandals, however we do come across a variety of other substances such as felt marker pens, waxy products (including lip stick), emulsion and gloss paint.
Once we have completed our graffiti removal we often treat the surface with a special anti-graffiti treatment to prevent further attacks. Additional prevention tactics include; creating barriers such as prickly plants, improving lighting and security and keeping the area clean and well maintained.
The key with graffiti is to remove it quickly so we always aim to do this within 24 hours of notification. Steam cleaning system really comes into its own for this type of work as pressure can be adjusted to suit different surface materials as well as different kinds of paint product.
Always remove graffiti as quickly as possible to avoid copy cat tags. Repeat offenders much prefer places where their work is left up, so this will encourage them to go elsewhere. Applying a special anti-graffiti treatment can also help make it more difficult for vandals to re-offend.
Some buildings are particularly prone to frequent, repeat graffiti attacks which is both annoying and costly for the owner or manager responsible for maintaining the building. Graffiti Assist – our new Graffiti Management service – helps address this problem. We charge an agreed monthly fee to regularly check your building exterior and immediately remove any new graffiti.
Because work is planned we can schedule and allocate resources well in advance which allows us to reduce our fees. We estimate that clients who require regular graffiti removal will save on their cleaning costs, in some cases this could add up to several thousand pounds over the course of a year!
Whatever contaminant, whichever surface material, OneFifty knows how to achieve the best possible cleaning outcome whilst mitigating risk of damage. We have developed a range of cleaning products to target specific contaminants, as well as coatings to help protect against graffiti attacks.
Aerosol spray, emulsion and gloss paint, marker pens or waxy products, whatever was used to graffiti your wall we can remove it – without trace.
We can apply a coating to help protect any exterior surface from repeat graffiti attacks. All of our coatings are tried, tested and proven to work.
