Surface Materials - Concrete

Concrete Cleaning

Concrete is widely used throughout the built environment. Having cleaned many different exterior concrete surfaces we know the best way to remove dirt and contaminants and achieve brilliant results without causing damage.

Where Is Concrete Used

Concrete is an important construction material; durable, flexible, cost efficient and fire resistant - it is widely used throughout the built environment. Structural applications include façades, arches and pillars, walls and floors, paving stones, driveways and cladding.

Keeping concrete surfaces clean and free of environmental and organic contaminants helps protect the concrete and keep it looking its best.

We can achieve brilliant results on concrete, even the dirtiest of surfaces will look clean and new once we have finished working on them.

Cleaning Concrete - The Method

Older concrete surfaces may be rough and pitted and require a very different cleaning approach to a new, sheer, smooth façade. We always review and assess the state of the concrete prior to cleaning to gauge the best approach and mitigate risk of damage.

Where graffiti or old paint needs to be completely removed, concrete can respond well to high pressure hot water washing. However, if the concrete is worn, we can turn the pressure down and take a more gentle approach - either way we always achieve the best possible results.

Where there are grease or oil stains on concrete, such as on a garage forecourt or in a car park, we use a poultice to draw out the stain prior to cleaning which we find achieves the best possible outcome.
