The Jet Washing Company was selected to clean the building façade of the prestigious harbour side development - The Crescent. The development consists of 255 private apartments, a cluster of town houses, a restaurant and shop, as well as a central landscaped lawn area. The Crescent forms part of the award winning Bristol Harbourside Masterplan which has transformed a brownfield site into an elegant and enjoyable place to live, work and relax. Not surprisingly residents expect their building to be kept looking its best at all times however, being near the water’s edge, it is constantly exposed to the elements and over time the sto render has become increasingly weathered.
Bespoke cleaning and the high service standards
The Jet Washing Company were contracted by Jones Building Group to clean the exterior building façades. This is a high profile project and the building management company has understandably high expectations, both with regards to levels of service and quality of cleaning that provided. The project also required a bespoke cleaning method, tailored specifically for Sto render. This did not present a problem for us as The Jet Washing Company’s cleaning method has been officially approved by Sto themselves, ensuring that the render retains its warranty.
We have four, full time operators working on the project, and two MEWPS (cherry pickers) on site at all times to allow our team to access to the full height of the building. Health and safety is accounted for as all of our operators are fully IPAF trained providing complete peace of mind. Work is being carried out within normal working hours (ie between 08.00 and 17.00) so great care is taken at all times to ensure that we cause an absolute minimum of interruption to residents or passers-by. None-the-less, in our hi-vis gear we cannot help but attract some attention and our boys are frequently quizzed by curious onlookers about our bespoke cleaning system and told what a great job we are doing!
We are delighted to have been given the opportunity to work on this prestigious project and demonstrate the unrivalled level of expertise and customer service.
